I don't get it... what exactly does LinkFacts DO?

LinkFacts is a link tracking system. We provide you with detailed statistics about any links on the web that you have control over, including those on your own website, or even from other websites that link to you. This is an excellent way to track your affiliate programs, stay on top of your ad revenue, and get information on referring links from link exchanges. These statistics can be used to determine which links are performing the best and help you maximize revenue and traffic.

Does it cost anything?

You can try the system out for 7 days and see how you like it! After that, we have a simple fee structure in place. We believe we are the lowest-priced professional link-tracking service available.

What do I get with a membership?

With a paid membership, some of the key features you receive are:

Unlimited number of links to track
Unlimited tracking (clicks) of every link
Detailed statistics about link traffic and revenue
Graphs of link performance
Downloadable reports in multiple formats

Trial accounts have full functionality, however you can only set up 10 links with a limited amount of clicks allowed during the trial period.

How does it work?

LinkFacts acts in an invisible manner to your web traffic. When someone clicks on a link that you have set up with LinkFacts, the click is registered with LinkFacts and the user is instantaneously redirected to the link's destination. In short form, LinkFacts is an intermediary counter between the surfer and their destination.

Does LinkFacts work with affiliate program links?

Affiliate program links are just as easy to set up as any other link. In fact, LinkFacts was designed with affiliate program links in mind! It can be difficult to deal with advertising on the web, and often web site owners are forced to rely on numbers that their advertisers give them. LinkFacts provides an unbiased analysis of your link traffic. Another benefit of using LinkFacts to handle your affiliate links is that often you can shorten the URL by a significant margin, increasing its effectiveness in email sendouts.

Can I use LinkFacts with more than one web site?

If you own multiple web sites, then our pricing becomes even better! See our Prices page for more info. All your sites can be managed from within a single LinkFacts account, so there is no need to have multiple accounts with separate log-in information.

Can I use LinkFacts links in emails?

Sure! Using LinkFacts links in your newsletters is a great way to see how a specific newsletter might have performed! No spam though. We are firmly against spam in all forms, and sending spam emails containing LinkFacts links is a violation of our Terms of Service.

Can adult sites use your services?

We do accept adult sites. However, we are against all forms of illegal material, including child pornography. If your site is found to contain illegal material, your account will be terminated without warning. In addition, we will report you to the proper authorities. Please see our Terms of Service for guidelines on what sites we will accept for membership.

My site is under construction. Can I sign up now?

We cannot accept sites that are not at least partially active. Please wait until your site is up before signing up to LinkFacts.

My affiliate program stats don't match my LinkFacts stats! What gives?

Don't panic! Because every affiliate program tracks their links differently, it becomes difficult to arrive at the same statistics as other programs. Our goal is to provide you with accurate figures of your link traffic. However, your affiliate program may track visitors in a different way. Unique IP addresses and cookies may be employed differently. Downtime can be a factor, as well as rejected or filtered traffic that your affiliate program does not accept. However, if you decide that there is a significant difference between your LinkFacts statistics and your affiliate program, it might be time to investigate a little more thoroughly.

We like to believe that most affiliate programs out there are run honestly, so if you do decide to start asking questions, please bear in mind that there is, in all likelihood, a reasonable explanation for the discrepancy. Some things to consider:

Has there been any downtime with the affiliate program servers?
Are your links set up to closely match the tracking performed by the affiliate program?
Does your affiliate program reject traffic that it doesn't mention in your stats?

Any of the above reasons could lead to having LinkFacts statistics that are higher than your affiliate program stats. One of the primary benefits of the LinkFacts service is that you will be able to stay on top of your revenue-generating programs, and make sure that you can maximize them to your benefit!

I'm pretty sure my affiliate program is cheating me. Can LinkFacts provide assistance, legal or otherwise?

No. We are a stats reporting service, and we will not act as an arbiter or intermediary, nor can we provide any advice or assitance in the event of a dispute. We of course offer full support on the statistics that we provide you as a member, and can answer any questions or concerns you have about them.

Can LinkFacts track my web page hits?

Unfortunately, no. What you're looking for in that regard is a counter service. There are many out there... we suggest using Google to find some.

Can I get a refund if I don't like your service?

Of course. If we don't meet your needs, then we don't deserve your business. We will give refunds on all paid subscriptions within 7 days of purchase. Simply contact us and we will arrange for a refund.
